Dan Bar-el Author Biography
Dan Bar-el is an award-winning children’s author, educator and storyteller. In the past, Dan trained and worked professionally as an actor, has written for theatre, as well as written and performed sketch comedy across Canada. Travelling and hiking are two of Dan’s recreations. He recently did the Inca Trail to Machu Pichu in Peru, and in 2004, he completed an 800 km pilgrimage across northern Spain. Dan lives in Vancouver, British Columbia and shares his life with artist and goldsmith, Dominique Bréchault, as well as Sasha - the most adorable cat in the known universe.
Tim Bowers Illustrator Biography
Tim Bowers is an award-winning fine artist who creates detailed miniature paintings. He is also a children’s book illustrator of over 40 titles. As a young boy he developed a keen interest in animals thanks to his mom’s parents who kept a house full of animals including an African Grey parrot, a squirrel monkey name Joe as well as ponies and chickens. Today, Tim and his wife Keryn live in Ohio and have four grown children and three grandchildren of their own.
